To deploy backend stacks you need to have an AWS account. Once you can login into your AWS, we recommend creating a new user via IAM and giving the user Administrator access. You can always fine tune access at a later stage. Once the user is created, Project Compound will ask for AWS access key and secret which can be retrieved via Security Credentials tab of the user.

Understandably, these credentials give us access to your AWS so that we can deploy the stack on your behalf. On our development roadmap, we have enlisted on deprecating this feature and introducing roles based deployment which will be easier to configure.
